You're following my voice,

and my voice only guides to the Light.

My only purpose here is to guide you to Him,

to bring Him to you.

And the flow you feel when we're together,

that's the same flow you have to follow,

even when you're hearing dogs barking, baby's crying, people yelling, news blaring.

Those are altars, too.

You can follow those sounds too,

right back to Him.

Everything takes you to Him when you know how to listen.

There's no Love higher than this.

By now, I hope you realize that Light is not a concept but a literal force, more real than anything we can perceive with our five senses. When I am stuck in my darkness, I pray quite intensely, and God's Light always breaks into my prison of darkness, not typically as words or images, but as an energizing and uplifting force. Words or insights may follow, but the experience of Light comes first. The fruit of these experiences is hope, a renewed spirit, and always, gratitude. No one can teach us to have the experience of Light, but we can practice this: in the caldron of your suffering, you must prayerfully ask for the descent of Light into your mind and heart. In reality, God's light is always given; it is the intensity of our prayer and longing that creates the opening within us to receive it. Keep on asking until the Light is given. This is the very best use of our free will.
