Dr. Soltiel is an internist, interventional cardiologist, and is board certified by both A4M

and IFM, two big functional medicine associations.

Then, because she apparently needed more schooling, she became a lawyer.

She regularly teaches and writes on the topic of hormones and cardiovascular disease at

In fact, she and I used to work together at Dutch

Test, so it was an absolute pleasure talking with her today as heart disease can present

differently in women. Plus, the whole menopausal, HRT aspect can be really confusing. Now, I do

want to take a moment here to clarify that she does mention how women aren't

dying a breast cancer, but they are dying of heart disease. Her comment was in relation to

the National Cancer Institute statistic that says 90% of all women, all breast cancer stages, survive

five years after diagnosis. So while women do die from breast cancer stages survive five years after diagnosis.

So while women do die from breast cancer, they are way more likely to die from heart disease.

Well, there are a couple things.

One, women present a lot of times differently than men do.
