These names not only describe the stone's appearance, they add meaning to the stone's uses as well. Ancient Greeks called tawny-colored ones "lion skin agates"; these stones had great strength, and could counteract a wide range of poisons, especially scorpion stings. In Hebrew tradition, one could gain courage by plucking a hair from a lion's mane -- but if that seemed a little too ambitious to start out with, you could substitute a lion skin agate instead! On the other hand, ancient writers cautioned against keeping agates with the spotty pattern of hyena fur, claiming those would cause domestic trouble. The green of a tree agate would attract positive attention from the agricultural goddess Ceres; farmers not only wore this stone as an amulet, they'd also tie a piece to the horn of their ox while plowing. Across many cultures and times, we've come to see and make use of many connections between plant, animal and mineral kingdoms, as well as connections with eternal realms.     Pin it!   As spiritual seekers, it’s essential to embrace the energies that support emotional balance, spiritual growth, and intuitive connection. the healing properties of River Agate, which is a crystal that really embodies the energy

of the water element. And this is one that I think often gets overlooked because it feels a little bit kind of mundane and every day,

own question anytime at love and light school.com slash ask for the chance to have

your question answered right here on the show. So today's question comes from LG. And LG asks,

I bought crystal singing bowls. They're beautiful, but I'm wondering how to use them specifically with regard to

1:29.3

the chakras. Can you over-stimulate someone's chakras with these singing balls? L.G, this is a

1:35.8

great question, and it's kind of a two-part question, right? So first, for those of you who don't

1:41.9

know, these crystal singing bowls are usually made of

1:45.4

reconstituted quartz.

1:47.2

So they're quartz singing bowls.

1:49.1

They've been kind of ground up and then formed into the bowl shape from my understanding

of this process.

1:56.4

So how to use them specifically with regard to the chakras would be selecting the note that

corresponds to the particular chakra center. So there are some metal bowls, the Tibetan

singing bowls that are tuned to specific notes, but usually those are just kind of whatever
