This is the greatest hour to follow Jesus.

I want to start by reading from Psalm 103.

Psalm 103, I'm going to read the first five verses.

It says, bless the Lord, oh, my soul, and all that is within me bless his holy name

bless the Lord oh my soul and forget not all his benefits who forgives all your

iniquities who heals all your diseases who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving

kindness and tender mercies, wow, isn't that awesome? Who satisfies your mouth with good things

so that your youth is renewed like the Eagles. You know, this is the word of the Lord.

And we say thanks me to God, right?

So let me give you a little backstory before I bring you into this video.

I was raised in Waco, Texas, or as they say in Connecticut, Wacko.

And I went to Baylor University.

I was going to be a lawyer, live in Waco on the lake, and be a nominal Lutheran, you know.

But it was during the late 60s, during the Vietnam Air, and it's a longer story,

but I ended up going to the seminary in Illinois and studied there for three years,

studied in Germany for a year, served a studied in Germany for a year,

served a church in Panama for a year,

and then ended up in Eastern Baptist Theological for a doctorate program,

which was an American Baptist seminary in Philadelphia.

And I was in a church for a couple of years in Ohio that I planted.
