Well, let's first just start with a horrible news of Sam Rubin's passing on the 10th, the

morning of the 10th. And I was just in complete shock, honestly, like he's been a friend of this

podcast, but also Burke in the Game when I did that podcast as well. And he was kind of like a mentor to

me in many ways. And it was so sad, especially when I,

they had me call in to KTLA, actually. There was a lot of people calling in to talk about,

you know, Sam and what he meant to them. And when I was talking, I had chills from head to toe.

It was so, um, I, I felt his presence, first of all, but I'm also just so sad at how it just happened.

I called Amy Sugarman, who she is an executive here for the podcast, but also she books KTLA.

And I asked her, I said, how did this, like, did you, was he sick? And she goes, no, he literally called in sick. And then that was the end of it. Like, and then all of a sudden, TMZ reported that, you know, he had passed away. Did you have a relationship with Sam at all?

I did. I knew him, not necessarily through like dancing with the stars or anything like that.

It was more through the years that I covered award shows, primetime Emmys, Oscars.
