This is CBS Iron the World. I'm John Batchel with Bill Rajo, Senior Fellow Foundation for

Defensive Democracies. And we're joined by his colleague, Jonathan Saya, of the Foundation

for Defense of Democracies, to come in in Iran, watching the episodes in Gaza,

watching the speech by the President of the United States in Jerusalem,

watching reaction in Cairo where the peace summit is gathered.

And this news from Cairo, Iran skipping Monday's peace summon in Egypt saying it could not meet, quote,

counterparts who have attacked the Iranian people, end quote.

That's a clue, but it's not really a transparent explanation for how Tehran views what we know so far of the prisoner exchange and the apparent

cessation of activity by the IDF in Gaza City and from the front page of the New York Times,

a return of the Gazans to the north of the Gaza Strip in a long line of thousands marching through a wasteland.

What is your information about Tehran and how they regard this much-talked-about peace deal

that is at this moment just proposed? Good evening to you.

Good evening to you. Tehran is in a tough spot because on one hand, their propaganda was centered around the situation in Gaza, and they've been long opposing Israeli intervention and the military campaign in Gaza.
