I'm joined by my two good colleagues watching Iran.

First, Bill Rajo, senior fellow for the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy, my co-host,

and we're very privileged to welcome Jonathan Saya of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy, my co-host, and we're very privileged to welcome Jonathan Saya of the

Foundation for the Defense of Democracy, who's been our eyes on the Islamic Republic of Iran

these many months, watching both before the 12-day war and since the 12-day war, of course, watching very carefully the Iranian regime negotiate

because there is a pending deadline.

It has to do with something called snapback, meaning that the Europeans who signed on to the JCPOA in 2015

will vouchsafed the reversion to extreme measures of sanctions

that have not been in place for some time now, essentially closing down trade in Iran.

And if the European sign on, the U.S. is already headed in that direction.

So we begin with the question of SNAPAC, the most recent UN General Assembly conversations, and because the timeline

is going to run out in October, although I don't have a date, it would appear that the Iranians

need to talk, and they are masters at Bazaar.

So, Jonathan, I begin with you.

Where is the countdown to Snapback and are the Iranians in some fashion allowing this to go forward,

or are they mitigating it?
