We may have time to contemplate the correct way to deploy a nuclear deterrence,

but I'm drawn also to some rather softer stories

or lighter-hearted stories.

How about the neighbour who keeps complaining

about the noise of children coming from the nursery

which he lives next door to?

It's almost like a grinch here,

turning up a little early with a plan to steal Christmas.

And I will also I hope or I

intend at this point in time to invite a little bit of guidance on why two so-called

YouTubers had a boxing match at the weekend. These are the stories that I feel need to be

explored so that we can keep up bay the sense of ancientness and irrelevance that may otherwise be appearing.

Four minutes after ten.

But we begin as we should and as we must with a contemplation of commemoration.

And a delicate question that I hope you'll respect.

Because the question for me is an odd one, actually.

You know that you invite public dismantling or public attacks on an almost unprecedented scale.

If you dare to say anything remotely thoughtful or perhaps controversial about wearing poppies.

It's, you know, of all the stories that over the years I've watched and read and listened to other people

seeking to provoke you into positions of anger that perhaps you don't really understand,
