I'm absolutely delighted to be joined by French football writer and broadcaster and host of the French

football show Matt Spiro, my friend. How are you? Okay. Hi Dan, very well, thank you. Yeah.

Top man, thank you so much for joining me. Massively, massively appreciate it.

We are here, of course, to talk about the fact that it looks as though, nothing signs still delivered just yet, but lots of things pointing towards the fact that Jeremy Jacquet is arriving on Mersey side and will become a liberal player in the not too distant future. He's going to return to France to finish out the campaign over there,

which is another interesting little angle that we'll discuss in the fullness of time as well.

But first of all, tell us a little bit about the play of himself and sort of his journey to the point with that now, I guess.

Yeah, well, he's a really interesting profile for sure, but we haven't seen a huge amount of him. He's played

sort of one year now of top flight football, basically, 30 matches. He was playing on loan

at Clermont up until sort of last January in France's second division. So, you know, in that

respect, his sort of rise has been quite rapid, quite

sudden, because quite often in France, you know, you see these guys getting blooded very young,

sort of, you know, at the age of 17, sometimes even 16, you know, top centre halves previously,

guys like William Saliba, Rafael Varan, we saw them playing at 17.

So Jacquesé, he's taken a little bit more time. He's obviously still a very young player at just 20 years of age.

But I think, you know, that sort of slightly later development is related to issues he had sort of as a teenager at 13, 14.

He had a few physical sort of issues, notably Oskudschilatis, which is, you know, something that you get when you grow, like pains in your knee and stuff.

And because he's obviously a very big, strong guy,

you know, it took a bit of time for his body to sort of settle down.

But he is an extremely athletic player.

He's quick.

He's strong.
