Would you take a quick look over last night's notes,

and I'm going to have you repeat back to me or say with me your three points.

Number one, God paints pictures with words to say what mere statements of facts can't convey.

Now, we are so, so glad for those statements of fact.

We are glad for our doctrine to be clear on the page of Scripture.

We love it all from the first words of Genesis to the last words of

Revelation. But sometimes to see him then paint it in a picture like we're seeing in Psalm 18,

it comes completely alive. So we are told in Scripture that we are saved by God, not according to our works,

but according to His grace through faith. But when we then see it in pictures, we know it for a fact,

we see it in pictures and somehow the whole thing comes alive. So number two is this.

God would willingly move all heaven and earth to save just one.

He would leave the 99 for the one.

We see God going to this furious accommodation all the way through the heavens to get to his child that

is crying out. Now, why is it he is waiting? Because he's obviously already seen. This is very

important to us today. He's obviously already seen that his child David is in a fierce, fierce opposition,

and he's getting treated terribly, and he literally is at the mercy of a madman by the name of

Saul, who has gone nearly nuts over little more than jealousy.

I wonder if anybody in this room, I had not planned to say this, but let's go ahead and say it

because somebody here may need it and all of us need it at one time or another.
