Would you turn with me please to Psalm 18?

Psalm 18.

I want to tell you a story about the way the Lord led me to the scriptures that you and I are studying this weekend,

and we're going to take them apart and see God weave them back

together. But in order to tell you this story, I need you to make me a promise because this

is as true and authentic as I know how to be with you. In order to tell you the story, I have

to mention one of the Bible studies,

and it will make sense in just a moment. But I need to make you a promise, and I have been

able to make this promise for many, many years through Living Proof Live. We will never,

I'm never going to get up here and try to somehow manipulate part of the lesson so that you will buy a book. That is not,

listen, I have fear of the Lord. I do. I lack a whole lot of other things, but I have a very,

very healthy fear of the Lord. I don't get up and try to sell you things and try to manipulate

it where somehow you will

invest in us.

That's just, that's not what we do.

I rarely ever mention a book, but in order to tell you this story, I need to.

So, do we have a deal there?

So I even call my coworker that oversees all the products and resources.

I even asked her, I said, are we bringing it?

Because if it hasn't already been sent, I don't want us to take it,

because I don't want them to think I'm trying to get them to buy it.
