It is day two of the Conservative Party conference and this morning the former Chancellor Jeremy Hunt given on stage interview. Isabel, what did you make of it?

Well, Jeremy Hunt's been the sort of the main

person pushing back against the labor government you know Rishi Sunak has had his

weekly thing at Prime Minister's questions but that's been it Whereas Jeremy Hunt I think has probably been the most energetic in trying to restore the

Conservatives' reputation that labour are trashing on the economy to fight back against the

22 billion pound black hole and so on and he he continued to do that obviously in

his interview with Daniel Finkelstein this morning he again took issue with the 22 billion pound black holes saying

that not even labor believed it which was why they were having this big fight over

the winter fuel payment because they didn't actually believe that the black hole that was necessitating

this restriction actually existed.

And he said that labour was in danger of believing its own propaganda and then making decisions

on capital gains tax for instance that
