Here was her message to the students. Have more kids earlier. Just the context of doing this at Yale,

I mean, I'm sitting there looking around and the kids being like, okay, which one of you will be the next Supreme Court justice?

Who's going to be a senator? Sadly, many of them. There isn't this sense of like, oh, we're snowflakes and this is dangerous, unsafe space at all. These kids were like going at it. How do we afford kids in an economic climate?

There was a student who got up and talked about the environment. And he was like, I might live to 60.

I mean, 70 if I'm lucky, if the Earth is still here. If the world's still here.

Another objection from the female students was, well, I don't want to have children because I want

to prioritize my career. And one of the freshmen got up from the Federalist Party.

She got up, though, and she objected to that.

She's like, I don't think there's a dichotomy.

Hello, everyone. Welcome back to the Loopcast, joined as always by Josh and Erica. We are here today to discuss a little field trip that Erica actually took to Yale. And yes, the bubble may have burst on her coastal elite status, but she does go to Yale, so she has that going for her.

But you said it was an interesting trip and you had some stories that you'd like to share.

So, Erica, can you tell us a little bit about that debate you went to at Yale?

Yeah, so this was, I got invited to come to watch the debate at the Yale Political Union. And Leah LeBrescoe Sargent, those of you who are familiar with her, she's the author of arriving at Amen, the building the Benedict option.

Great author. Check her out at her substack other feminisms. But she was debating. The resolution was,

the resolution of the house was, have more kids. And I was most taken with the resolution of the house was have more kids and I was most taken with the the

resolution she obviously was in the pro natalist camp and so I went to support her and it was my

first time going to a YPU event we've lived here for 12 years and we're just outside New Haven

so I was excited.

And it was, it was actually, I was so pleasantly surprised and taken aback by how the

evening played out.
