Kara, or Kathleen Kuni, is a professor of Egyptian art and architecture at the University of California, Los Angeles, UCLA.

She is also the chair of the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at UCLA, and

Professor Cooney specializes in several historical fields.
