All right, hey, I am very excited about this series. You got your Bible's head at Revelation chapter two. Y'all gonna have to listen a little faster than usual today. We got a lot, a lot to get to. Here's what we're gonna do during this series. This series is gonna take us all the way to Easter, seven weeks to Easter from now to Easter. We are gonna preach through verse by verse, these seven letters, these seven statements

that Jesus has for these seven churches

in the book of Revelation.

Now, heads up, I'm just gonna give you heads up, man.

Are you guys, you guys want both barrels this morning?

Okay, because you're gonna get them.

This is a high challenge series. So let me just drop right in and we're going to just get right at it. Okay. When we, where we are right now, we are in, the book of Revelation was written by the Apostle John. At this point, by the way, it's the book of Revelation, not the book of Revelations. There is no S. Okay. Revelation. The Book of Revelation written by the Apostle John.

At this point, the Apostle John is probably like 80 years old.

He's an old dude at this point.

He is the last living apostle once we get to the Book of Revelation.

He has watched 11 out of 11 of his friends martyred for their faith.

So he watches some of them crucified upside down.

He watches some of them sawn in two,

some of them thrown off the tops of temples.

Church history tells us that when John writes

the book of Revelation,

that he has already,

they have unsuccessfully attempted to martyr him twice, twice.

One of those times,

they tried to boil him alive in oil.

So they unsuccessfully, they try to martyr him twice. And eventually, apparently, they just go,
