So this week there's pretty much just one story in Hollywood and not the story that I think any of us thought we'd be talking about when we recorded last week's episode.

I think maybe the day after we recorded last week the rumor broke that the New York Times was preparing

to publish a bomb cell story about Harvey Weinstein

and a decades long pattern of alleged sexual assault.

That story was published on Thursday.

It was then followed up yesterday,

which Tuesday, as we recorded this.

Another story from the New York Times

with more women coming forward with their stories

as well as a story in the New Yorker

from Ronan Faro with, I I think 13 women sharing their stories of sexual assault or abuse or attempted sexual assault or just general inappropriate behavior.

The follow-up's been really swift.

Harvey Weinstein's been fired from the company that bears his name.

Just as we started recording this, he was removed from BAFTA,

basically the British Academy.
