You know who surprisingly, or perhaps unsurprisingly, didn't find their way to the Battle of

Hogwarts?

One Dolores Jane Umbridge.

Buhn.

I mean, in the final battle of Good vs. Evil against Harry, undesirable number one potter,

whom she hates, she fails to make an appearance, fails to ever truly, publicly align

herself with Lord Voldemort.

And I mean, if not then, when.

But perhaps that is the true savviness of Umbridge to never actually align with evil, but

instead just thrive inside of the system and try to warp it to her own misguided

and sadistic views. What Cornelius doesn't know won't hurt him.

Who? Me? I'm just doing my job at the ministry. I don't support Voldemort. I support Pious

thickness, and it just so happens that

suddenly and out of nowhere, all of his goals and plans are exactly the same as Voldemort, but who am I to

argue? I just work here, you filthy little mud blood. Umbrage is extremely good at using her office as a shield for her actions and perhaps her failure to show up at the end is just a last-ditch effort to remain above water.

Because hey, if Baltimore wins, then great! No need to hide anymore. Just embrace the new regime openly and if he loses, well, maybe she can just slip back into her old position

because worked the first time, right?

You know, like when she tortured the students but then somehow still got her job back, like

a mistake that cost Rufus Skrimjower quite severely as his failure to do something about

Umbridge is the very thing that convinces Harry to not help him out in any way.
