Hey brother, guys one of the longest standing unsatisfactorily explained things in all of Harry Potter

is the arrival of Fox in the Chamber of Secrets, which might not be that big of a deal,

except it's kind of a huge plot point.

Fox not only blinds the bass list,

but he also brings Harry the sorting hat and the sword, heals Harry's wounds from the baselisk, and is able to carry out him, Ron, Jenny, and Lockhart from the chamber.

I mean, seriously, it might be the most

outrageously convenient thing that happens in the entire series except for the

Weasley's winning the Daily Prophet draw that ends up sending them to

Egypt which is in the newspaper that Fudge then gives the serious

so that he can finish the crossword puzzle which causes him to see Peter Pettigrew and break

out a prisoner of Azcaband and set the entire thing in motion.

But anyway, the only real explanation we can get for it is what

Dumbledore tells Harry. You must have shown me real loyalty down in the chamber and nothing but that could

have called Fox to you. Which like, okay. What does that mean? Harry was loyal to

Dumbledore and then that suddenly summons Fox to his aid. Is that how it works? Can we

get more of an explanation than that?

And are there like specific life-threatening circumstances

that have to be in play in order for this to work?

Like, how come Fox doesn't just burst onto the scene when Harry's talking to

scrimjower and says that he's Dumbledore's man through and through. Sure it

wouldn't have been useful at all but Harry is showing Dumbledore like the

maximum amount of loyalty that he can possibly show him.
