Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro was on the short list for vice presidential prospects for the ill-fated campaign of Kamala Harris.

He's coming out with a book on January 27th called Where We Keep the Light.

It's a story of his years in public service. It has a lot about his faith.

But gentlemen, I think we will find that the most interesting parts,

as every major media outlet has latched onto,

is what he has to say about the process of not becoming

the vice presidential candidate to run with Kamala Harris.

Stephen Green, he said he felt uncomfortable from the beginning,

but there were several things which really struck him.

And I'm just gonna throw them all out here,

and you can take what you want.

Number one, he pictured a vice president

as kind of having an advisory role with the president

and then supporting whatever the president decided to do,

but he figured that the president would consult with him,

get his ideas, and then make the presidential decision.

That's not the idea that Kamala Harris had.

Apparently, he said, he got the sense

that Kamala Harris never enjoyed being vice president.

Shapiro also said that he wanted to be able to keep,

one of his gubernatorial aids close at hand to continue to run the state of Pennsylvania while they were running for office.

Harris didn't like the idea of his divided loyalties.
