0:27.1

Rosen is your new best friend. I am sitting here in Dining Room Studios with someone that I have been wanting to have on the show for a very long time and here he is. Hello, Harley Mourenstein.

0:37.1

Hi, thank you so much for having me.

0:39.1

Thank you for coming on the show. I feel like we've been talking about it for a few years now.

0:44.1

Yes, since like maybe like halfway through 2015. It's been something that's been up there. I haven't been elusive though, right? It's just it's hard to plan to make things happen sometimes, right?

0:55.1

I don't live in Los Angeles. You live in Canada, right? In in dollar, which is the town that you grew up in. Yes. Yes, dollar days are mo the fastest growing Jewish community in all of Canada. I did not know that.

1:07.1

It's not a thing that anyone ever needs to know. Is it to people in dollar, wait, I'm going to say the whole name, dollar, does our mo do they have pride in that?

1:15.1

I don't know. I just wanted to have pride in something about it, so I started googling stuff. It could totally be a lie also.

1:22.1

Well, it's funny say that because I was thinking a fun thing to do, but which I didn't do. But if there was a way for me to find a bunch of dollared facts to like find a bunch of them and then give you a quiz on which are real and which are made up.

1:36.1

Oh, that would not even be good at that. Yeah. And unless I wouldn't do that because I couldn't find them, which is strange because I did the same thing. I think I just went that much further.

1:45.1

That's what I'm saying. I'm saying that I like that. Like Barry's big website of dollar or facts or something like that.

1:51.1

You know, cities dot. Right. Right. Like a little, a little, a little, a midi thing pops up when you go to it. Exactly. And I count a hit counter.

1:59.1

Oh, this taking me to a place. This taking me to such a place. I didn't like those times of the internet. No. That's what like my mom would pick up the phone when we were connecting to the internet.

2:07.1

And it would make noises in my computer tower. Me and my mom me like it's yelling at me. Yeah. And also back then if someone called you while you're on the internet, they just get a busy signal for hours and hours.

2:19.1

Crazy. A. So you are well known for number like the number of things. One of them. The main one, I would say, being epic meal time. Yep. The number one cooking show on the internet. Yep.

2:31.1

Which you started in 2010. Yeah. We started in 2010 and we've never missed a Tuesday upload of epic meal time in seven years. So how many is that?

2:40.1

We're with the other shows that we other food shows on that same channel. We're at like 800 uploads or something like that. And you have millions and millions and millions of subscribers. Yeah.

2:49.1

Seven point one or two or something. That's insane. It's really it's really super insane. It's like a really weird thing. It's always weird to me.

2:59.1

I have so many questions, but just to stick with the internet thing that we were talking. Well, obviously we're talking about the internet, but the specific time of the internet. When did you get on to the internet?

3:09.1

I got on to the internet the first time was a. O. L. like 25 hour discs CDs. We put that in. I'll never forget my very first day. The only thing I knew about the internet was chat rooms. It's literally all I knew.

3:25.1

So I knew the internet exists. You go on chat room. So I literally went on the internet. I went to chat rooms calm. How are you?

3:32.1

The sixth grade. So I was about 11 years old. Okay. And I went to chat rooms calm and couldn't like I saw like when I got there, the writing instantly freaked me out.
