This is London Calling.

And it's inevitable as we advance on this roadmap that there will be more infections and

unavoidably more hospitalizations and sadly more deaths.

So what we need to do is to continue flat out to build the immunity of our population, build our defences against

that wave when it comes.

I'm good, I'm good, how are you? How's life in in in Warwickshire? Well the weird thing is I'm I'm I

belong to that that smug category of people whose lives haven't really been changed that much by the lockdown and the masks and stuff because I've been basically ignoring it completely for the last year.

Do you find out when you go to the local supermarket maskless you get less hostile

glances than you did six months ago? I think it's about the same. It depends

on what time of day you go, it depends on all sorts of things. I've noticed for

example that the best place to go maskless is is aldi and I think

often the sort of the for our American listeners aldi is is kind of for poorer people isn't it it's a sort of budget German

supermarket chain and yet oddly enough it's you you get less of a it's the Walmart of the UK isn't it?

It's the Walmart you get fewer weird stairs in Aldi

when you go in Marsless than you do and say waitros.

And this is despite the fact that what my local Aldi, I'm sure it's the same with all of them,

there is a sign outside which says, do not come in without a mask and it's you know it's you can't

avoid it I've got a funny story for you when you get to the end of this. Okay, but my best

experience, my best mask experience was in Aldi when I went in there one day,
