In today's episode, he talks about the hurt and bitterness that he felt after being cut from American Idol unexpectedly being dropped from his label a few years later and the terrifying delivery scare that he and his wife Annie experienced just this year with their new twin girls.

Colton also talks a lot about stepping into new seasons and how those difficulties really have shaped him. I loved it when he said without those trials, our faith would be so watered down.

Not that God is the source behind the trial, but that he will use it to build our faith. I'm so thankful for Colton's vulnerability as he recalls difficult time, but how he chose to trust God amidst it all.
