She's the author of the new book Dirt. It was released this past September about growing up in a single wide trailer in West Virginia

before heading off to college. In our conversation, Mary and I discuss her story and how the book that she wrote really lays out her life in two parts.

But that even though life in the trailer and life after the trailer, she's still so much the same girl.

She shares how the tension of who you are and what you do is not where your worth is found.

I love this conversation how God has shown Mary where freedom is found from the comparison trap.

Well, I'm so happy to have you and to talk about your story and your book and your life and all the things.
