Guys today you're listening to episode number 149 and my guest is Virginia Comberbatch.

I met Virginia through our mutual friend Haley who was a guest on this show remember she's the CEO of Camille.

She's on number 131 and after we finish recordings she said hey I have a friend here in town that you're going to love and you need to have on the show.

And I said I love you Haley and I trust you so she introduced me to Virginia and the rest is history Virginia lives here in Austin.

She's actually a native Austin I which is rare these days in our big city but we had such a great conversation today about lots of different things.

The intersection of pop culture and social justice we talked about racial issues in the church.

She is a book released in November that we talked a little bit about called as we saw it the story of integration at the University of Texas at Austin.

Virginia began this book as we saw it as a graduate research assistant for the UT Division of Diversity and Community Engagement back in 2014 while she was a student at the Linda B. Johnson School Public Policy.

She now serves as director of the Community Engagement Center. I loved hearing Virginia talk about her family life growing up the way that she loves her family and how her family modeled this integrated life for her.
