Hey friends, Jen here, and this is a happy bit. You can hear by my voice that I caught the killer of

0:08.0

all colds. And since my happy bit is due out today and I took a breather for the holidays, I'm going to

0:14.8

give it to you just the way I sound. True authenticity, right? Well, so on our last happy bit, I talked about my word of the year's

0:23.9

health. And I want to talk more about that. I just got off the phone with my health coach,

0:28.6

Natalie Bubach, and she is fantastic, truly fantastic at helping you get to the root, to the psychology of all of your thoughts about eating and

0:40.3

about food and about exercise. She's taking me deep. If you don't remember, Natalie Bubach was

0:45.6

featured on episode 128, and I will link to that in the show notes, but you can listen to that

0:50.8

again at genridea.com slash 128.

1:21.8

feel as good as we could feel, we would choose to eat healthy and we wouldn't sabotage ourselves

1:27.2

in that way because, you know, we want to feel good.

1:31.2

So the question she asked me, which is just ringing through my head ever since I talked to her, is how good are you willing to let yourself feel?

1:42.3

How good are you willing to let yourself feel? And I've been thinking about

1:46.7

the times that I have felt the best in my life. Ironically, after each of my kids, I felt amazing for two

1:53.7

weeks. Let me explain. After having each of my kids, I followed the advice of my midwives and

1:59.8

stayed in bed for two weeks. They gave me the formula of

2:03.4

five days in the bed, five days on the bed, and five days around the bed. And so those are the

2:10.1

six two week periods in my life where I did almost nothing. And I felt amazing. Okay, I take it back.

2:17.0

After my first one, I thought I would be super mom and I probably
