The Rosenbach creates programs and exhibitions inspired by a collection of nearly 400,000 rare books, manuscripts, and fine and decorative arts objects, including some of the best-known literary and historical objects in the world.

1:04.6 | Well, I sort of like to think that I was foreordained to end up in a curatorial role at the Rosenbach. Of course, that's all with |
1:13.2 | 20-20 hindsight. But when I was young, living in rural Minnesota, I grew up in sort of the |
1:19.6 | north woods of Minnesota. I developed a passion for rare books and manuscripts and historic house |
1:26.4 | museums. And as I pursued my education first in |
1:30.4 | Minnesota and then on the East Coast, I really wanted to find a professional environment |
1:36.1 | that would combine my interests in the world of book collecting and her books and archives |
1:42.6 | with the world of historic house museums and the fine |
1:45.6 | and decorative arts. And even though these are very closely aligned areas of professional and |
1:51.5 | scholarly interests, there aren't that many institutions that really bring those worlds together |
