And her name is Hanae Mori.

Yes, as the first Asian woman to ever be admitted into the elite governing body of French oak couture, the Shambharsindical,

Mori's career in Paris during the 80s and 90s and into the early 2000s

might be familiar to some of our listeners who are big collectors or dealers of vintage,

as also might be her signature butterfly motif,

which really became synonymous with the design empire that Mori would build throughout her career.
