we're going to the Middle East and we're joined by the Jerusalem Post War

Correspondent Seth Freight, whose new book Octoberth, tells the story of the war so far that begins October 7th,

but really the map suggests that this war has been underway for quite some time.

It's a war with Iran and its surrogates, sometimes called the tentacles of the octopus.

We're going to begin in Hamas territory, however, in the south of Gaza a village that is now largely

a figment of maps called Rafa and the announcement in these last days Seth reporting for the Jerusalem

Post but you can see the post on the long war journal for the FTD that the Rafa

brigade the resistance in the south of Gaza, no longer exists

in any organized fashion and that the Israeli Defence Forces are pulling back because there's nothing to

shoot at right now. It's a very good evening to the dismantlement of the Raffer

Brigade. Over these years of reporting in this story, I know that the Palestinians recruit

from many sources and reconstitute themselves very quickly after being

defeated on the battlefield.

Well, we see that same phenomenon in Gaza now

that the Ruffer Brigade has been dismantled.

organization several thousand men probably under arms. It controlled a big swath of

Southern Gaza. Raffa City, Telseutan, the Philadelphia
