Hello. Hope you're well today, whether you're out on a walk, doing the washing up, or just taking five minutes for yourself.

0:08.3

Thank you for spending a bit of time with me today. Now, I want to talk to you about something that seems quite simple, but honestly it can be really powerful.

0:17.7

And it's called the halt method. If you haven't heard of this before,

0:23.6

halt stands for hungry, angry, lonely and tired. And it's one of those little tools that's

0:31.7

easy to overlook as of how straightforward it is, as is so often the case with self-awareness.

1:33.3

For affection, for recognition, for feeling seen and understood.

1:38.3

If that's not being met, that can nor await us as well.

1:42.3

So it is worth checking in, not just with your stomach,

1:45.3

but also with your heart. And then we've got angry. Now, anger's a tricky one, isn't it? A lot of

1:51.4

people are uncomfortable with it. We're often taught to suppress it or ignore it, but it's just

1:57.7

like any other emotion, like sadness or joy, it is telling us something.

2:03.6

So if you feel angry, ask yourself, what's going on underneath?

2:08.9

Are you feeling hurt?

2:11.0

Frustrated is something feeling unfair?
