Hello and welcome to a brand new uncanny episode, the first of three Halloween specials, a trilogy of terror.

We have some deeply strange cases to investigate together at this most ghostly time of the year.

We stand at the cusp of the seasons. Are we also at the cusp of the living and the dead?

Or team sceptic. Can we explain all these things away? To help us, I am joined by a very special

guest, a comedian, writer and lifelong fan of all things

ghostly and folkloric so if you're ready I'm Danny Robbins I'm Stuart Lee and

I have this thought it knocks on walls inside my mind. I know what I saw. I saw. I know what I saw.

I know what I'm what I'm going to ask you the question that I ask so many of our witnesses.

Do you believe in ghosts?

But you spend your life obsessed by this subject by the idea of ghost and folklore and horror.

Basically I think if you grew up in the 70s there was a kind of tumult of like mad information

that was just swirling around and often it was to do with the occult and horror and whatever.

So many of us of a certain age had the same experience of buying an usborn book of

ghosts that came out in about 966-67.

I can remember every picture in it so vividly and

so many things in my life that I've ended up doing have come from those books so yeah

that old horror comics that you found at the seaside books like that.

I think with this subject it is the images that stick in your head like nothing else.
