0:45.8	As an introduction, Heidi is the area communication director in the Philippines.
0:51.2	And this is an especially special episode for me because I served as a full-time missionary for the church in Cebu, Philippines. And this is an especially special episode for me because I served as a full-time
0:55.9	missionary for the church in Cebu, Philippines, which is where Heidi was born and raised. So it's
1:01.6	been really fun to prepare for this and to talk with Heidi. So to introduce a little bit about
1:07.0	her, her parents joined the church in the 1970s when she was just a few months old. So she's
1:13.2	been a member of the church almost all of her life. She is a licensed architect and is married to an
1:19.3	engineer and together they started a construction company before they were even married.
1:23.8	And Heidi has also taught architecture at the university level and was an editor for a magazine at the university.
1:30.6	Her connection with communications began in the church when she was just 18.
1:35.3	She served in public affairs callings or as a volunteer, beginning when she was 18 for almost 30 years before she was hired as the communication director in 2011.
1:45.9	And she and her husband have three children.
1:49.0	And together, they also started a school for children with autism, the first in Cebu
