Today on gun talk nation, I think we're going to answer some questions for you because if you're a gun person,

you're probably aware of 80% guns.

And so we want to go right to the source, get some clarification, and then of course just talk about fun gun stuff.

So welcoming to the show, Dan McCalman from Polymer 80. Welcome in, Dan.

Thanks for having me, Ryan. Appreciate it.

So Dan, give people a little bit of background about yourself and Polymer 80.

Sure, so Polymer 80, we are actually rolling up on our 10th year in business.

We started back in 2013.

I have been with the company since its inception.

I've been in the firearms industry obviously nine years now.

I actually started my career back in the days of firefighter.

Oh, so I kind of for a while was splitting my time between being a paid professional firefighter while also working for Polymer 80.

Primarily in the in the sales and marketing area where I've pretty much been it I continued to operate with the company.

I'm currently the executive vice president of the company, so I worked directly for our CEO Lauren Kelly and report directly to him on a myriad of things, whether it's sales and marketing or engineering product development efforts.

We're closely with our COO and the operations team to make sure things are spun up appropriately for new product efforts as well as, you know, making sure we're hitting our shipping deadlines and keeping our consumer base happy with getting orders out the door quickly.

So how do you guys, how do you describe Polymer 80 to someone? I mean, who you guys are and what you do?

Polymer 80, I think, could be described as a company with a central focus on true, true freedom, true liberty, right.

We joked many, many years ago at our first in a ratio that the products we were, we were selling at the inner ratio were the most freedom oriented products because they're essentially, you know, 80% receivers or frames.
