I'm your host, Steve Mathis, and this week, wow, for the second time this week, we're doing a podcast,

and we've got Honda Red Bull Racing's Andrew Short. Shorty, what's up?

Not much. Hanging low, getting ready for round two.

Yeah, yeah, and round one kind of, it went good and bad for you, a lot like last year, huh?

Yeah, basically the same result for me me a five in the first moto and had some bike problems and second motor that kind

of relegated me to the back of the pack but that's part of racing and you know I don't

expect to happen it again and just trying to move forward.

Last year, Hanktown was probably one of the worst races of my career.

And definitely one of those races, yeah, I felt like quitting almost after that second motor.

I thought I lost it.

So a big battle for me this weekend to get through and just trying to get ready for it.

The bike problem, it looked to me like maybe something to do with the transmission, clutch.

Yeah. Spark plug? Was it a spark? Spark. Yeah. It's a sticky situation for me, but unfortunately my bike lost a lot of oil

and around halfway point, so there wasn't much I could do.

I started having some transmission problems, obviously.

Yeah.

Because there was nothing to keep the heat.

From going, yeah.
