One of the most important reasons to start a garden is to cook from that garden, and

I will confess that when I first started gardening, that really wasn't my reason at all.

It was mostly just to enjoy the process of growing and cultivating plants and sort of

watching them grow, shaping their growth.

But now, as I'm here at the Epic Homestead, with the eggs and the orchard and all that,

it's become a big motivator, it's growing things that I love to eat and then learning

how to transform them into great recipes for the home.

Meg, how are you working your produce into your kitchen, like how extensively are you

Oh, very extensively, almost every day.

I'm somebody that's always loved cooking, but especially when I started gardening, that

love of cooking just grew so much and just took off.

And so now I'm constantly trying to get creative in the kitchen with the different things

that I'm growing.

I put out a ton of cooking content now, it's not just, it started being gardening content,

now it's kind of moving more towards like garden to table, because I don't know, like

the garden has definitely pushed me as far as like getting creative in the kitchen and

cooking new things and trying new things.

So yeah, what have you found is like a kind of like a sleeper hit that you maybe didn't

eat too much up before, but now that you grow it, it's really fun to work into recipes.
