Hello and welcome to a special edition of the RHS gardening podcast focusing on education.

Although many people know the RHS through our gardens and of course our internationally renowned flower shows,

a major part of our work is to educate people of all ages about gardening and horticulture.

This ranges some helping children to learn to grow flowers, fruit and vegetables and schools,

short courses to help gardeners hone specific techniques, such as pruning, propagation,

or perhaps willow weaving or designing a border, to apprenticeships and degree courses for those wanting

to pursue a career in a branch of professional horticulture. The RHS wants to educate as many

people as possible. In an upcoming podcast we're going to explore how the RHS is working with
