So what I want to know is what happened to him along the way?

What happened after 1932?

What happened to Gallup Gwinderwald? Gellick Grendewald.

As early as the very first installment of the Harry Potter series, we're given some hints as to what happens to Gellet Grindewald.

The first example being when Harry views a chocolate frog card with Dumbledore's name on it.

Albus Dumbledore currently headmaster of Hogwarts, considered by many the greatest wizard

of modern times.

Dumbledore is particularly famous for his defeat of the Dark Wizard Grindalwald in

in 1945. And there it is, famous defeat of Dark Wizard Grindarwald in 1945. But

Secrets of Dumbledore ends in 1932, which leaves a whopping 13 years entirely unaccounted for.

Beyond 1945, there's also the rest of his life. So, what

did he get up to? As Grindelwald's power grew, many believe that Albus Dumbledore would

be the only one capable of stopping him. However, due to a blood-backed made in their youth,

Dumbledore was, for many years, unable to directly confront
