So, Bill Belichick, meeting with reporters today, asked this question, will Mack Jones be the starting quarterback next season?

Answer from Belichick, Mac has the ability to play quarterback in this league. We all have to work

together to be more productive than we were this year. That's an understatement. Look, there was a lot

of frustration coming from Mack Jones. He had Josh McDaniels as his offensive coordinator as a rookie, so he was able to at least compare and contrast. Bailey

Zappi didn't know any difference because he was a rookie. Mac Jones knew how different it

was. And I was talking to Coach Garrett about this last night. When you're a quarterback,

when you're a smart guy that's been around great offensive minds,

you notice right away if the coach is on it or if the coach isn't. And Matt Patricia's

defensive coach, Joe Judge was a special teams guy. These are not offensive specialists. Bill Belichick

was basically trying to will them in toward

the idea is they're so smart at everything else. They should figure it out. It's all football.

It shouldn't make a difference. Bill Belichick mastered everything. Others should too.

We've seen the questionable play where it's a manifestation of frustration.
