Greenville's Summer Sons. In the summer of 1975 on Little Island off the South Carolina coast, an alligator,

either lost or in need of a change of scenery from its freshwater marsh,

decided to go to the beach.

Carefree, undeterred by the vacationers,

unafraid of the choppy surf.

The gator dug its claws through the Sullivan's Island sand, likely unaware,

a whole bunch of people were clamoring for its capture.

Who do you call when you've got a gator back where he belonged.

If there had been a South Carolina dog-catcher convention in 1975, that guy's story wouldn't have come close for the most interesting or the most dangerous.

The winner of that contest would have come from Greenville County and today that

notorious bank robber Fast Eddie Williamson says he was out riding motorcycles with two of

his friends in law enforcement.

I was riding motorcycles with Al Ashmore and Pridmore.

And Pridmore wanted to buy my motorcycles.

It was a nice sportier.
