Good morning, everybody. It is still August 31st, and this is the second to last team preview

for the Simple Handicap in 2022, looking at the Green Bay Packers, a team that I'm actually

Monday morning. Said I was up and down on the Packers at the same time. Down on the offense,

up on the defense. Where do we want to start with this? Let's go defense first. Something I love about what the Green Bay Packers do

is they generate a ton of pressure without blitzing the quarterback. Last season, 33% of snaps generated pressure without blitzes.

It was the highest rate in the NFL.

And that really elevated the top seven for the Green Bay Packers

that had different guys stepping in. They had different rookies having to step up

and some turnover within the secondary that had a lot of injuries. Now this year, the reason that I think

I'm really up on this overall is many of those names are back at it and healthy. And you still have

that elite talent within the front seven, but you have Joe Barry's

scheme that hasn't been changed or adjusted in any way.

And when you're comparing what the Packers were able to do a year ago with some of those

numbers, and you consider the fact that this season, their schedule of opposing

offenses actually gets considerably easier, projected to face the seventh easiest schedule

of opposing offenses, the ninth easiest schedule of opposing pass offenses. That really

bodes well for what the Packers could do from a pressure standpoint. And if you

consider the fact that we're looking at a secondary that's going to feature Jair Alexander, Amos,

Savage, Stokes, Douglas, this has the potential to be a top two or three secondary in the

NFL if everybody's able to stay healthy, something
