Let me read you something. There was a little boy who wrote a letter to God. He wrote,

Dear God, my family needs $500 for bills. A postal worker read the letter and gathered up $300 from his coworkers and mailed it to the boy.

The little boy wrote a letter back the next week that said,

Dear God, thank you for the money.

But next time, please send more

because the post office deducted $200.

Now, I think he was grateful, you know,

for the $300, and that's what Thanksgiving is about being grateful.

I don't think he was greedy.

I think he just dawned on him the first time how much the government takes out and how much

you have left after they take their part.

But that's what we want to talk about today's gratitude.

Thanksgiving, and this is going to be deep what I'm about to tell you.

So pay attention, Thanksgiving is about a thankful heart, a thankful attitude and we as believers more than any other people

should live a life of Thanksgiving.

It should just be part of our life.

And the opposite, though, of gratitude is greed.

And so that's what we want to talk about, greed or gratitude.

Now, by God's grace grace my wife and I have lived a life for about 20 years of being givers. We love to give it's something we like to do. If you haven't been here long you'll hear me preach on it. I preach

on it from the standpoint of that it is a blessing that it helps you. Those you heard

me preach, that's what the book is about that's coming out in January. I love to give. I love to live a lifestyle of giving.

And by God's grace, Debbie and I have been able to give. One of the things we like to do is bless people the vehicles that don't have vehicles or that need vehicles.
