So last night in the Stanley Cup playoffs,

Otto was playing Carolina in Carolina.

In the first overtime, Carolina scores the game winner, and it's going crazy.

All right.

The place is off the hook, overtime goal.

And then they review the goal and they determine that the Carolina hurricanes were off

sides by a whisker.

And so the goal was nullified.

However, on the play, the officials had called a hooking penalty

with the player being on a one-on-one situation with the goalie,

thus a penalty shot.

Now, you might ask yourself, well, why would the penalty shot still be enforced?

And I can't answer that question because it doesn't make sense to me because the play should have been whistled dead before that.

So there's a penalty shot.

Ottawa stops the shot.

So, no goal,

re-reel off-sides,

but the hooking penalty remains,

and it is awarded a penalty shot.
