Summary

Last week on The Allender Center Podcast, we shared a conversation with Dan Allender and his daughter, Amanda, and son-in-law, Jeff, as they welcomed their newborn daughter. 0:25.3	We are back in our home after a glorious trip to Brooklyn to join the experience of our new
0:36.1	granddaughter's arrival on the earth. So grace is in the world.
0:41.6	And Becky and I have had the privilege of spending nearly a full week. And actually, you spent a bit
0:48.4	longer. And we wanted to reflect just on the glory of a new life in the world.
0:56.6	And though this is, obviously, to grandparents speaking,
1:01.0	there's something about what we're to learn about the life of a newborn
1:06.1	that really cascades into so many elements about the wonder of God and the wonder of how we are fearfully and wonderfully created.
1:16.8	And so, well, Becky, I'm curious, Grandma, what it's been like for you to have a new life in the world.
1:25.2	Oh, it's absolutely wonderful. So amazing. It was so different with each child having
1:32.5	their first baby. And this was Amanda's first baby. And so to be with her after her brother and
1:39.6	sister have had their babies was so different and perfect and wonderful. It's all new again. And such a joy
1:49.2	to see her and Jeff just delight in being Grace's parents. The wonder just cascades back. You remember
1:57.7	each grandchild and we remember each child. And it's just, it was wonderful.
2:03.9	Well, there's something about the life of a newborn. Until you have experienced something like this,
2:11.2	it's hard to imagine. Someone said to me, so what will you do when you're out in Brooklyn? And
2:17.4	what I said was, I think for the most
2:20.2	part, there will be a bit of competition as to who gets to hold her and directly be face to
2:27.2	face with her. So to me, there are three things that I can look at for hours, just hours, a fire, a river, and the face of a newborn.
