It's time to get out on the high wire. What an outrageous week we had if you caught last week's show

or maybe you're just coming today to watch Highwire for the first time because you saw some of the

videos that came out of last week's show. So if you're brand new, get used to it. This is going to be

a rough and wild ride. We are uncensored and totally unplanned. We're winging it, shooting from the hip,

and that is what Highwire is all about. I got my staff over here giggling to themselves, all two of

them. Anyway, we've got a great show today coming up. I was out in New Jersey and I had the

opportunity to sit down with a beautiful catoned family that's Nick Contone, the famous MMA fighter,

his wife Marjorie and their little daughter Madeline. If you don't know their story, incredible

story, how they lost their son far too early, their baby from sudden unexplained death. We're going

to talk to them about that coming up. But first, it's the story that seems to be just sweeping

the country right now all over the nation. It's been going on for years. We keep brushing it aside,

but something happened this week that made it really different. But have you been paying attention

to this story? It is a crisis impacting millions of families from all walks of light Americans

opioid epidemic. According to new CDC numbers, drug ODs killed 62,000 Americans

just last year. It is also more than car crashes or gun violence.

The opioid epidemic and the heroin trade at Fuels has driven much of the violence we've seen in

recent months. Strong law enforcement is absolutely vital to having a drug-free society.

And I'm confident that by working with our health care and law enforcement experts, we will

fight this deadly epidemic and the United States will win. The great opioid addiction crisis has
