Hey there, everybody.

So you've opened all of your Christmas and holiday gifts.

And sure, you had some things you loved, but almost certainly you had some things.

That sucked.

That absolutely sucked.

Let's just say it.

Okay.

Some of us had a disappointing Christmas.

Yes. And so, look, we have, I always have questions about what the right thing to do is in that

situation, A, when you open it even in front of the gift giver, or when you know you're going to

want to return it. So we have the expert on gifts, Julian Givie, an associate

professor there at West Virginia, and he actually studies gift giving for a living. And so

we had them on earlier to talk about what you should give, but now receiving can be even

harder than giving sometimes. And Professor Givie, good to have you back here. Let me start, period, point blank.

Number one, is it okay ever to re-gift?

Yeah, so I think if we're talking to research, actually, the research suggests, yes, it is.

Because one of the findings there is that as re-gifters, we think that it's going to kind of hurt the person's feelings more than it actually does never we re-grif.

So I think, you know, re-gifting, it's one of those things.

Everyone knows that it happens, right?

Sometimes we can even tell whenever we receive one.
