Donald Trump is facing 91 criminal counts in four different criminal cases.

Right now, prosecutors in all four of those cases are fighting to get to trial before election day.

So far, only one of those trials is on track

to actually make it. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is preparing to go to trial this

month in the case over Trump's hush money

payments to an adult film actress. While that case moves forward, the others

not so much. The federal elections case brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith

suffered a huge setback this week when the Supreme Court stepped in and

delayed the start date of that trial, potentially pushing it back until after the November election, which

leaves two other trials.

And today we got significant updates in both of those cases.

Today in Florida, for the first time ever, both Donald Trump and

Jack Smith were in public court together for the case over Trump's handling of

classified documents at Maralago.

Among other things, they were there to discuss

when Trump's trial in that case would begin.

The Special Counsel's team requested that the trial

begin July 8th, giving them sufficient time to

complete the trial before the election.

Trump's team begrudgingly suggested the trial could begin August 12th,

which prosecutors were quick to pounce on saying, oh, one thing the parties agree on

is that this case can be tried this summer.
