Emerald Robinson, host of “The Absolute Truth” on Lindell TV says we’ll soon see if Republicans hold the line on a continuing resolution to actually get some budget cuts and shift money priorities. Emerald says the GOP has the chance to do it. The test is coming. Will Republicans exercise the power they have with the Sept. 30th budget deadline? How much power do they have with appropriations and will they really shut down the government? Robinson also says Republicans are allergic to govt. shutdowns and they’re allergic to cutting back money that flows to corporations and Ukraine.  When we mention a Govt. shutdown, everyone goes into a panic as if it’s the end of the world in Washington, D.C. but really 95% of the govt. is still funded. Republicans have never had this kind of environment to stand their ground. Robinson says if the Freedom Caucus stands firm and shuts down the govt., McCarthy could get support from the Democrats. That would more than likely bring about a motion to vacate the chair. It will force Democrats to throw him a lifeline, but that would be politically bad for them. Republicans now hold most of the political leverage.
