Summary

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up two good martinis and a crazy one. First, they find some optimism in the ongoing debt ceiling fight as Republicans find a few Democratic allies on issues ranging from energy permitting to fighting Biden's student debt redistribution plan. Then they applaud the U.S. Supreme Court after all nine justice sign a letter rejecting Senate Democrats for demanding new recusal and ethics policies and strongly rejecting the notion of reduced funding for security for the justices. Finally, they react to both President Biden and President Trump not wanting to engage in presidential primary debates. They also call out CNN for routinely calling Trump the world's greatest threat to democracy but now giving him a town hall event because they want the ratings and for Trump to be the GOP nominee .

particularly in a presidential year, but you said if Larry Hogan was thinking about making

0:35.8

a difference past his governorship, he should take a closer look at it even though he said

0:40.1

he wasn't interested a few weeks ago.

0:42.4

Once again saying he's not going to do it saying I'm getting a lot of calls about that,

0:47.4

getting called by senators, donors, getting lots of inquiries from the media, but the thing

0:51.1

that surprised me the most was that my wife said, why don't you run for the Senate?

0:55.1

1:05.1

make of the fact that Larry Hogan has once again definitively said he's not interested

1:09.2

in this race?

1:10.2

Yeah.

1:11.2

So when I wrote about this in the corner yesterday, kind of expanding on the comments during

1:15.0

our discussion yesterday, I was like, look, it's your life, you know, maybe Larry Hogan

1:19.8

thinks being in the Senate would be an absolute bore, right?
