With an 07 Toyota Sequoia V8, I have a P1444 code, which I believe is a secondary air injection switching valve stuck open.

Well, you need a scan tool to turn the valves on and off to test them to see if they're working.

But this is a very common problem on those.

Those two valves that are up there on the cylinder heads, one on each side, you might just take one off and look in it. And if it's all full of corrosion and water,

the valve is just shot. They stick once they start going. And most of the time we're replacing

them in pairs. Almost always they come in and it seems like both the codes for both banks are on
