Normally, this last week, I would have been Spring Harvest down in my head, giving some talks and lectures on apologetics, but of course, that hasn't been able to go ahead all of the Spring Harvest events had to be cancelled for this year, but they were still able to put on Spring Harvest home on their YouTube channel, and there's loads of great content if you want to go and check out the Spring Harvest YouTube channel, including a couple of talks that I was able to do.

I'll talk about those a little bit later on in the show, and I'm sure we'll also feature them on the unbelievable YouTube channel, and indeed here on the podcast at some point as well, because this coronavirus crisis has given me opportunity to put out some extra bits and pieces as well.

Towards the end of today's show, we'll hear some of your feedback as well on recent editions of the program, the Easter Special that we had debating the Resurrection, also some of your thoughts on some of the recent content we've put out from John Lennox.

Well today on the show, we're discussing God, Stephen Hawking, and the Multiverse.

That's the title of a new book by David Hutchings and David Wilkinson that traces how Stephen Hawking changed the way we think about the universe, and how his ideas have shaped the conversation about God, science, and where everything came from.

David Hutchings is a physics teacher from York. He's written several books about the relationship between science and religion, and he came on this show a couple of years ago, probably now Dave, with Tom McLeish at the time to do a similar sort of discussion.

David Wilkinson is principal of St John's College, Durham University, where he's professor of theology and religion.

Also a former guest on this show, I think David, it was when you wrote your book on extraterrestrial life and that kind of thing.

That's right. Really interesting discussion. And you're an ordained minister, David. You have a background there in astro physics, PhD, you write and speak widely, obviously, on Christianity and science.

And Phil Halber comes back to the show as well. It's all former guests of one sort or another.

Phil, as our skeptical atheist guest today, runs the YouTube channel, Skydive Phil, where he has interviewed many of the leading physicists in the world on cosmology and astro physics, including Stephen Hawking actually, before he passed away in time.

And Phil's taken a personal interest over the years in the dialogue between Christianity and physics. He thinks that scientific theories often been wrongly interpreted or misused by Christians to lend weight to the God hypothesis.

So today we're going to be asking what space Stephen Hawking's theories about singularities, quantum mechanics and the universe actually left for God and whether contemporary physics is a friend or foe of the notion of a divine creator.
