Well, God wants you and I to be overcomers, but how will that be possible if we have nothing

to overcome? We can either spend

our days looking at the wind and the waves and the giant mountains that loom before us, or we can

look to Jesus for our instruction, because he's the one who's going to teach us how to navigate

our trials. He'll instruct us on how to navigate the times. He's the one who helps us overcome.

I love today's topic.

It's on overcoming. Author and Pastor Matt Chandler joins me today to talk about his book,

The Overcomers, God's vision for you to thrive in an age of anxiety and outrage. The book is so good.

I'm only several chapters in. I feel like we probably could do four shows on this topic. So I'm praying.

Pastor Matt, sometime in the future, can come back and pick up where we left off because there's so much here.

But this is what he writes. We're not victims. We're overcomers. And we are a key part of what God is working out in our day.

We're uniquely wired and uniquely placed in this moment in history as part of God's big plan to push back darkness and to establish light. Christ has overcome, and in him,
